Darklings, dears and little bones: A lot can change in 7 years. A man can lose his son, a wife can lose a husband, a child can lose her mother or a variation on all the above. Then there are some things that don't change at all like love, adventure and friendship. It is to all this that I speak of here: Thank you to my little dog Veela (Who rescued who?) Shannon Madill Oldberg (You have given me so much that words aren't big enough so a simple thank you will have to suffice) Paul and Claudia Sachs Kremen, Kent Belden, Greg Belle, Orla and Lily, Jeff Castelaz, Rachel Kurstin, Belle and Eric Avery, Matt Walker, Josh Friedman, Morag Williamson, Belle, Orla and Lily, Jeff Castelaz, Grady and Jo-Ann Thrailkill, Gayle Fine, Korda Marshall, Nicky Lee and Simon Ayton, Inara George and Jake Kasdan, Siouxsie Sioux, Penelope Tree, Frida Kahlo, Louise Bourgeois, Tracey Emin, Francesca Woodman and Patti Smith. My teacher Sharon Chatten and all my fellow class mates, Shirley and John Walker, David and Amanda, Tom and Anna Walker and of course Dad, Lindy-Jayne, Pete, Sarah, Gordon, Syd and Georgie. Mum I miss you but you remain my compass. Thank you to BB for being my husband. Finally love and thank you to my band of brothers, Butch, Duke and Steve, without whom my life would be a lot less "interesting". As always, Shirley.
In memorium: Pablo Thrailkill Castelaz

The album marks the return of the band after a seven-year hiatus that started with previous album Bleed Like Me. Guitarist Duke Erikson said at the launch of the record that working with Garbage again was very instinctual. Like getting on a three other people. The first album mostly recorded outside of Wisconsin, with the majority at Los Angeles. After Bleed Like Me had a hard rock sound reminiscent of the groups live performances, Not Your Kind of People revives the rock blended with electronica from the first two albums. Not Your Kind of People Q&A. Granted, Garbage fostered this impression, presenting their 2012 album Not Your Kind of People as a grand comeback, inviting comparisons to their earlier work and happily riding the burgeoning '90s revival of the 2010s. Unlike their two W administration-era albums, there is no grappling with new sounds and styles, only an embrace of the thick aural onslaught of Stupid Girl and Vow. Garbage have homed in on their essence and are unafraid to revive memories of their past glories. Lyrics for Not Your Kind of People. It might be business as usual compositionally, and public demand for another Garbage album was questionable but this set will stir interest in both fans and casual listeners alike. So when Garbage entered the studio to record Not Your Kind of People, their first release in seven years, they faced a conundrum that many other artists who found success in the alt-rock-crazed 90s are dealing with, too: Do you update your approach to conform to a more contemporary sound Or do you say fuck it and just party like it's 1998 We got a hint of Garbage's answer earlier this year, when Manson called off plans for a solo album because her label wanted it to have a poppier, more radio-ready sound. Too noir, Geffen Records said of the demos
