The album was released by the ElektraMusician label. Four in One was coincidentally recorded on the day of Monk's death in 1982, though the musicians were unaware of Monk's death during the recording session and had not planned the album as a memorial tribute. Natural film lighting refers to using and modifying the light that is already available to you at your location. Before you shoot, you can take your camera to the location to see how well the natural light holds up. You can decide from there how what additional lights you might need, or how you might adjust the light. For example, you can use bounce boards for reflecting the light, or black flags for blocking it out. So,they became reality warpers, but their human minds weren't ready for such power. Couldn't they just wish themselves into being able to hold such power Except that's now how the Sphere works. The Sphere isn't so much a Literal Genie as a key, and that still leaves the problem of their minds not being able to handle it just because of the way they're built. This makes the sphere a lot more realistic and natural looking. 9 Added dithering to smooth the shadow zones a bit, decided to leave the light zones without dithering to achieve a glass-like look, also tweaked the outlines with anti-aliasing a bit more. 10 Added a reflection of light from the ground to the bottom of the sphere. The Serpent & The Sphere sees AGALLOCH take their progressive musical oeuvre to another level, all while maintaining the classic AGALLOCH sound. It is an album that reveals the bands darkest, most meticulously crafted, and atmospherically surging work of their seventeen-year career. Visionary The Serpent & The Sphere trades in Marrow of the Spirit's long-winded impressionism for a punchier take on blackened post-doom-folk metal. Frankly, it works for me.
